Welcome to Picklepedia! By accessing or using this website, app, or any related services (collectively “Picklepedia,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our site or app.

1. Content

All articles, reports, graphics, diagrams, and media on Picklepedia are provided for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes only. While we draw from research and experienced editorial contributors, we make no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Some articles include dramatised or composite characters inspired by real events, and identifying details may be changed to protect privacy.

Picklepedia uses both human editors and AI-assisted tools to support its editorial process and content production. All final editorial decisions are made by our team.

Your use of the site and app is at your own risk.

2. Health, Fitness, and AI Coaching

Pickleball and the drills, challenges, workouts, and plans on Picklepedia involve physical activity and carry a risk of injury. Consult a doctor before starting any new exercise programme, and stop if you feel pain or discomfort.

Some features, such as coaching letters, session plans, quizzes, and video analysis, are generated with the help of artificial intelligence. They are general guidance only, may contain mistakes, and are not medical, fitness, or professional advice.

3. Use of the Site and App

You agree to use Picklepedia only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content except as allowed in Section 4
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other members’ accounts
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated systems to extract or copy content or data
  • Use our content to train AI models or build competing products
  • Get around paywalls, content gates, or membership restrictions
  • Share your account or login with other people
  • Post or send illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, spam, or otherwise inappropriate material

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms or disrupts the integrity of our community or platform.

4. Sharing Our Articles and Reports

We love it when you share Picklepedia. Here is what’s allowed and what isn’t.

✅ You may:

  • Share links to our articles and reports on social media, in messages, in group chats, and in emails
  • Quote a short excerpt (a few sentences) with credit to Picklepedia and a link back to the original
  • Tell your friends, playing partners, and students about Picklepedia

🚫 You may not, without a licence or our written permission:

  • Copy and paste full or large portions of articles or reports into emails, newsletters, documents, websites, or social posts
  • Download, print, screenshot, or save reports or PDFs and give them to other people, including students, clients, club members, or teams
  • Upload our content to shared drives, learning platforms, course materials, or private groups
  • Use our content in paid lessons, clinics, programmes, or coaching materials
  • Remove or change Picklepedia branding, credits, or copyright notices

Reports and PDFs available to members are for your personal, non-commercial use only. If you are a coach, club, or organisation and want to use our content with your students or members, please see Section 6 (Coach and Club Licences).

We may remove access, cancel memberships without refund, or take further action if we find content being shared in breach of this section.

5. Memberships, Donations, and Payments

Picklepedia operates as a for-profit business that builds high-quality educational and community resources for the pickleball community. Contributions and memberships are not tax-deductible.

  • Payments: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Picklepedia does not store full payment card information.
  • Memberships: Bronze, Silver, and Gold memberships are billed monthly or annually and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. By joining, you authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
  • Cancelling: You can cancel any time from your Profile page. Cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds: Payments and donations are non-refundable once processed, except where required by law.
  • Free trials: New members may receive a limited free trial. When the trial ends, access to member-only features stops unless you join a membership.
  • Offers and codes: Discount and offer codes are personal, may expire, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time. Some codes only work on specific tiers or billing periods.
  • Price and feature changes: We may change prices or what each tier includes. We will give reasonable notice of price changes before they apply to your next renewal.
  • Editorial independence: Contributions never influence our editorial content, coverage, or rankings.
  • Public profiles: Your name, profile photo, skill level, and city/region may appear in community areas of the site and app, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can choose “Support anonymously” when you join or donate, or ask us to anonymise or remove your profile at any time by emailing serve@picklepedia.org.

6. Coach and Club Licences

Coaches, clubs, and organisations that want to use Picklepedia reports and content with their students or members must buy a licence.

  • Coach Licence: Allows one named coach to share licensed reports and PDFs with up to 100 of their own students.
  • Club Licence: Allows sharing with members at the licensed facility. Each physical facility needs its own licence.
  • Licences are billed annually and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Licensed content must keep all Picklepedia branding and credits, and may not be resold, posted publicly, or shared beyond the licensed students or facility.
  • Licences are personal to the licence holder and may not be transferred or sublicensed.
  • When a licence ends, you must stop distributing licensed content to new students or members.
  • We may end a licence without refund if its terms are breached.

7. User Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. Accounts are for one person only.

Tell us immediately at serve@picklepedia.org if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

8. Google Sign-In and Authentication

When you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address, and Google user ID, and use them solely to authenticate your account and manage access.

We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or any unrelated Google data. Our use of Google data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

9. Community and User Submissions

When you post or submit content, such as community posts, replies, chat messages, reviews, feedback, stories, videos, or suggestions, you keep ownership of it. You grant Picklepedia a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, use, display, reproduce, and adapt that content to run and promote Picklepedia. Reviews and testimonials are only shown publicly with your name and photo if you give permission.

You confirm that your submissions are your own and do not violate the rights of others. Be respectful: we may remove content or restrict accounts that harass others, spam, or break these terms.

10. Points, Badges, and Leaderboards

Pickleballs (points), IQ scores, badges, leaderboard positions, and similar rewards are for fun and motivation. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred outside the app, and may be adjusted or reset by us, for example to correct errors or prevent abuse.

11. External Links

Picklepedia may link to third-party websites or resources for convenience. We do not endorse or control them and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Visiting them is at your own risk.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on Picklepedia, including articles, reports, PDFs, text, images, diagrams, animations, videos, quizzes, and code, is owned by or licensed to Picklepedia and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Any use not allowed by these Terms (including Sections 4 and 6) is prohibited. Requests for content use, licensing, or syndication should go to serve@picklepedia.org.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Picklepedia is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, about the reliability, accuracy, or availability of our content or services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Picklepedia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury, arising from your use of our site, app, or content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State of California, USA], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above shows the latest version, and for significant changes we will notify members by email or in the app. Continuing to use Picklepedia after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
