Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Zoeya Khan’s athletic journey began with tennis, where she showcased her talent from a young age. She captained the Lausanne Collegiate School’s varsity tennis team, leading them to state championships and earning individual accolades. Her transition to pickleball was inspired by fellow alumna Langston Rogers, who introduced her to the sport after graduation.

The shift from tennis to pickleball presented challenges, particularly in adjusting shot selection and mechanics, but Zoeya’s dedication and competitive spirit facilitated a smooth transition. Balancing her athletic pursuits with academics, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in business at the University of Texas at Austin, embodying the discipline and time management skills she honed during her tennis career. As president of the Longhorn Pickleball Club, Zoeya’s leadership was pivotal in the team’s triumph at the 2025 DUPR Collegiate Pickleball National Championship in Atlanta, where they defeated 64 top collegiate teams, many featuring signed tour players.

This victory earned the team the Dink Award for “Best Collegiate Pickleball Team,” a testament to Zoeya’s impact as a leader. Her individual performance throughout the season was recognized with a First-Team All-American honor, highlighting her skill and dedication to the sport. In her professional career, Zoeya has demonstrated resilience and adaptability, securing a mixed doubles title at the 2025 Baton Rouge PPA Challenger alongside Austin Bricker.

Their victory in a three-game final against Danna Funaro and James Seagraves showcased Zoeya’s ability to perform under pressure. Her playing style is characterized by strategic shot selection and a strong competitive edge, attributes she developed during her tennis days and has successfully applied to pickleball. Looking ahead, Zoeya aims to continue her ascent in the professional pickleball ranks, focusing on refining her skills and contributing to the sport’s growth, both as a player and a leader.
