After a decade away from competitive sports, he returned to the court in 2021, transitioning from tennis to pickleball.
His athletic background and competitive spirit quickly propelled him up the ranks in the pickleball community. In 2024, Wilson partnered with Vivienne David to win the gold medal in Mixed Doubles at the PPA Tour Veolia L. A.
Open, defeating Anna Bright and Ben Johns in the final. This victory marked their second career title together and underscored their growing synergy on the court. In 2025, Wilson faced significant health challenges, including breathing difficulties and muscle issues, leading to his withdrawal from tournaments.
Despite these setbacks, he remains optimistic and is actively seeking medical solutions to return to the sport he loves. His resilience and dedication continue to inspire fans and fellow players alike.
