Tatiana Ruhl’s journey into the world of pickleball began in her hometown of Magnolia, Texas. Growing up, she was deeply involved in various sports, including tennis, where she excelled and became Magnolia West’s first girls district tennis champion in singles during her senior year in 2014. After high school, she continued her tennis career at Prairie View A&M University, serving as team captain and leading the Panthers to two conference championships.
Her transition to pickleball occurred in 2021 when a colleague introduced her to the sport during a tennis break at Unity Park. Initially unfamiliar with pickleball, she found it intriguing and began playing regularly, quickly developing a passion for the game. Her competitive nature drove her to improve rapidly, and she sought out training opportunities, including attending a camp led by top player Ben Johns in Colorado.
Johns recognized her potential, encouraging her to pursue a professional career in pickleball. Motivated by this endorsement, Ruhl began competing in tournaments, achieving notable success and establishing herself as a formidable player. In 2024, she was drafted by the Dallas Flash, a professional pickleball team co-owned by Mark Cuban, marking a significant milestone in her professional career.
As of November 2025, she has secured 52 career wins and maintains a 31. 9% win rate across 163 matches. Her playing style is characterized by an aggressive approach, featuring a powerful serve and quick reflexes at the net, making her a dynamic presence on the court.
