Born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Ryan Sherry was an avid athlete during his high school years, participating in various sports. His passion for tennis led him to earn a scholarship to play at the University of Florida, where he honed his skills and developed a competitive edge. After completing his college education, Sherry ventured into the professional world, co-founding Legacy Pro Sports, an organization dedicated to assisting former NFL and MLB players in securing disability benefits.

Through this initiative, he has represented over 5, 000 athletes, helping them obtain more than $200 million in claims. In 2020, Sherry transitioned to professional pickleball, bringing his athletic prowess and strategic mindset to the sport. He has competed in numerous tournaments, showcasing his skills in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events. Notably, in January 2025, he made an impressive comeback to defeat Anderson Scarpa in the Men’s Singles Round of 64 at the PPA Tour Masters in Rancho Mirage, California, after losing the first set. This victory highlighted his mental toughness and ability to perform under pressure.

Throughout his career, Sherry has maintained a consistent presence on the PPA Tour, continually striving to improve his game and achieve higher rankings. Off the court, Sherry’s vibrant personality and love for life have endeared him to fans and fellow players alike. In 2022, he partnered with Ice Shaker, a fitness drinkware company, as a brand ambassador, reflecting his influence and marketability within the sports community.
