In late 2023, Helena transitioned to pickleball, bringing her competitive spirit and athleticism to the sport.

Within a short period, she secured a top-55 Australian national ranking and represented her country on the international stage. In early 2025, Helena signed exclusive contracts with the United Pickleball Association, marking a significant milestone in her career. She joined the Carvana PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball, becoming one of the first Australian players to compete at this level.

Helena’s dedication to the sport is evident in her rigorous training regimen, often collaborating with American professionals to enhance her skills. She has expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete at the highest levels, stating, “When I first started playing pickleball, my goal was to one day become a PPA player in the US and now that dream has become a reality.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity. ” Off the court, Helena co-owns Waev, an eco-conscious swim and sport label, with Tom Evans. Together, they aim to inspire others to pursue their passions and contribute positively to the community.
