How to Contribute: Guidelines, Process & Policy

At Picklepedia, we’re building the most complete and trusted pickleball knowledge base on the internet — and we do it with your help. Whether you’re a coach, player, fan, or someone with a great story to share, we welcome high-quality contributions that educate, inspire, or dig deeper into the game. We’re looking for pieces people will actually want to read — and share. If you wouldn’t proudly send it to a friend or fellow player, don’t write it. Before submitting, please review our editorial guidelines below to ensure your article is the perfect fit for our growing community.

As a good starting point before you submit, it’s worth reading articles in each of our categories. Don’t worry about your article image – will take care of that. While your title will be considered, please note just like the main text, it will go through an editing process to ensure it fits with Picklepedia. If approved your article will go live within 14 days of submission. We suggest waiting for your first article to be approved before making any more submissions.

✍️ Contributing as a Brand? Lead with Value, Not Promotion.

Picklepedia is a community-driven resource — think of it like a collaborative encyclopedia for all things pickleball. We welcome contributors from all backgrounds, including brands and professionals in the space. However, this is not a promotional platform. Articles must be neutral, factual, and community-focused. No sales language, no personal product pitches, and no affiliate links. Your contribution will include attribution via your user profile, where you can share your name, a short bio, and a link to your site — just like how citations work in professional publications.

If you want your brand to stand out, do it by writing truly valuable, well-researched entries or stories that land with the heart of pickleball and that the community will enjoy. Thoughtful articles build trust — and that’s the best exposure you can get.

🛠️ Gear Reviews Policy

At Picklepedia, gear and tool reviews are selectively curated and closely moderated. We prioritize authenticity and utility for the pickling community, not promotion. To maintain trust, affiliate links are strictly prohibited. We do not accept unsolicited product endorsements or influencer-style content.

📹 Video To Support An Article (Optional)

We do not currently run a Youtube Channel however, we do accept video links from long form video platforms such as Youtube (wide format not shorts or reels) with valuable content as long as Picklepedia is mentioned in the opening 30 seconds for example “hey Picklepedia readers, or “I’m excited to share this with my friends at Picklepedia“. This is something we are experimenting with and will evolve over time. You will still need to provide a written version (not a transcript) of your article for our readers. Include the link in your article and we will embed it. Please note the inclusion of the video will depend on the quality of the material. We may just include your article without the. video.

4️⃣ Article Limit – 4 In Your First Month

We want to maintain a high standard of articles – so in your first month you will have a 4 article limit, this prevents people from abusing the system. After that period you will be able to submit more articles once we have had a chance to review your material.
