Dylan’s Profile

Dylan Frazier’s journey into pickleball began at the age of 14 during a family trip to Punta Gorda, Florida, where he and his mother discovered the sport at a local recreation center. His mother, Cindy, had played pickleball recreationally in college and introduced Dylan to the game, sparking his immediate passion. Upon returning to Missouri, Dylan joined the Show-Me Pickleball Club, immersing himself in the local pickleball community and participating in tournaments across the state.

His dedication and rapid improvement led him to turn professional in 2021, the same year he graduated from high school. Balancing his burgeoning pickleball career with academics, Dylan pursued a degree in Business Administration at the University of Missouri, completing his studies in 2025. His parents, both Mizzou alumni, have been instrumental in his journey, with his father, Shawn, building a pickleball court in their backyard to facilitate his practice.

This strong family support system has been crucial in Dylan’s development as a professional athlete. Dylan’s rise in the professional pickleball scene has been marked by significant achievements, including a #1 ranking in Men’s Doubles in 2024 and multiple gold medals in major tournaments. His partnership with JW Johnson has been particularly successful, with the duo securing gold at the 2023 Newport Beach Doubles Shootout and the 2023 Vulcan Indoor National Championships.

Known for his lightning-fast reflexes and strategic play, Dylan attributes his quick hands to anticipation and understanding of opponents’ tendencies. He emphasizes the importance of preparation and mental focus, stating, “A lot of people associate hand speed with reflexes, but it’s actually about preparation and knowing what’s coming. ” As of November 2025, Dylan continues to compete at the highest levels, representing the Orlando Squeeze in Major League Pickleball and maintaining top rankings in both singles and doubles on the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour.

His commitment to the sport and his ability to balance professional play with academic pursuits serve as an inspiration to aspiring athletes. Looking ahead, Dylan aims to further refine his skills, particularly his two-handed backhand, and to continue his success on the professional circuit, contributing to the growing popularity and competitiveness of pickleball.
