Wes’s Profile

Wes Burrows grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, where he developed a passion for sports from an early age. His athletic journey began with tennis, a sport he played throughout his youth, and he even secured a college scholarship to play at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in medical sales, Wes was introduced to pickleball through his childhood friend and ATP legend, Sam Querrey.

Pickleball soon became a large part of his social life, and within a few years, Wes was teaching Hollywood elites and dabbling in a few professional tournaments. He has maintained status with the PPA Tour and MLP, despite not being fully committed to playing professionally. After becoming a dad in late 2023, Wes has found new motivation to put everything he has into the sport and see where it takes him.

Since turning professional in 2022, Burrows has competed in over 30 professional tournaments, participating in more than 110 matches across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events. As of May 2025, his rankings include #60 in men’s doubles and #37 in mixed doubles on the PPA Tour. Burrows has partnered with notable players such as Sam Querrey, Olivia McMillan, and Lingwei Kong.

He is also a member of the Los Angeles Mad Drops in Major League Pickleball, contributing to the team’s competitive presence in the league. Beyond the court, Burrows is involved in media projects, including “The Wager,” a celebrity pickleball TV show, reflecting his commitment to promoting the sport’s growth and popularity. In late 2023, Burrows embraced fatherhood, a life event that brought renewed motivation to his pickleball career.

Balancing family responsibilities with professional sports, he has found inspiration in his new role as a parent, driving him to excel further in the sport.
