Growing up in France, Jay Devilliers was immersed in a variety of sports, including soccer, tennis, handball, swimming, squash, badminton, table tennis, and skiing. He particularly excelled in tennis and soccer, ultimately choosing to focus on tennis. In 2009, he moved to Barcelona, Spain, to train intensively at a tennis academy, where he completed his high school diploma and met his future wife, Aleksandra Trifunovic.

After a severe injury threatened his professional tennis aspirations, Jay accepted a college tennis scholarship at Wichita State University in the United States. From 2013 to 2018, he played for the Wichita State Shockers, achieving a career-high ITA singles ranking of 86 and a doubles ranking of 26. During this time, he also served as a hitting partner at the US Open in 2017 and 2018, gaining invaluable experience alongside top players.

In 2019, Jay discovered pickleball and quickly recognized its similarities to tennis, leading him to compete professionally. He joined the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour in 2019, marking the beginning of his rapid rise in the sport. Over the next few years, Jay secured multiple titles across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories, showcasing his versatility and skill.

His dedication to the sport is evident in his consistent podium finishes and his role as an ambassador for the French Pickleball Federation, where he actively promotes the sport’s growth in France. As of August 2023, Jay holds a PPA ranking of No. 4 in Men’s Singles, No.

7 in Men’s Doubles, and No. 9 in Men’s Mixed Doubles. He continues to compete at the highest levels, striving to further elevate his game and inspire others in the pickleball community.
