Born in Menlo Park, California, Etta Tuionetoa was introduced to sports at an early age, engaging in netball, touch rugby, basketball, soccer, field hockey, and tennis. Her passion for tennis led her to play on the varsity team at Brigham Young University-Hawaii, where she honed her skills and developed a competitive edge. In 2018, her uncle introduced her to pickleball, and with her athletic background, Etta was a natural.
In her first year playing professionally, Tuionetoa medaled in various events multiple times. When she’s not on the court, Etta enjoys spending time with her daughter, watching Downton Abbey, and learning new languages—she hopes to become fluent in Spanish and Mandarin!
